Bacteriostatic water, without the hunt.

What’s in the vial
Everything listed up front.
Most bac water listings leave out the part that matters. Here’s what’s in ours, and why each detail is there.
The benzyl alcohol is the preservative. It’s what lets one vial be drawn from repeatedly instead of once.
Enough for many withdrawals, small enough that little is left over when the 28-day window closes.
The stopper reseals after each puncture. The flip-off cap keeps it clean until first use.
Room temperature, out of direct light. The same range printed on the FDA label for bacteriostatic water.
The USP standard for multiple-dose containers once first entered. Date the vial when you open it.
No customs holds, no three-week wait on an overseas restock.

Written down, not hand-waved
Every guide on this site cites where its facts come from. If the label says it, we link the label.
What is bacteriostatic water?
Sterile water with 0.9% benzyl alcohol added as a preservative. The benzyl alcohol keeps bacteria from multiplying after the stopper has been punctured, which is why one vial can be drawn from many times.
How is it different from sterile water?
Sterile water has no preservative, so it is meant for a single use and the rest is discarded once opened. Bacteriostatic water can be re-entered for up to 28 days.
How long does a vial last once opened?
The standard for multiple-dose vials is 28 days after the first puncture. Unopened vials are good until the expiration date printed on them.
